Planning Support After Rehab

Planning post-treatment support for both your whole family and your loved one is essential for everyone involved in the intervention. When the person of concern agrees to seek treatment, you and your Whole Families intervention team will be prepared to move swiftly. You will have a specific plan for the treatment option and post-treatment support that best suits the needs both of the person of concern and your family.

While your loved one is in treatment, Whole Families Intervention and Holistic Recovery Services will assist you and your family in preparing for the newly recovering person to return home. Returning home can be challenging for everyone, so a plan needs to be in place.

 Various Treatment Scenarios Are Available

Treatment may be a residential treatment center or staying home and attending online treatment, intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) and attending 12-step meetings.  It may be require moving into a halfway house, attending an outpatient program, going to meetings and working with a sponsor. Whole Families post-treatment support is personalized for each individual, as well.

In planning post-treatment support, you and your intervention team will meet soon after the person of concern has entered treatment. The meeting will include everyone involved with the intervention. The purpose will be to gain each person's perspective on the meeting and assess each person's reactions to the outcome. Your Whole Families intervention team will field your questions and concerns about the recovery process and post-treatment support for both the person of concern and the whole family.

Whatever the treatment scenario, re-entry into daily living without drugs, alcohol or disordered eating requires significant adjustment for everyone, particularly during the first 90 days.

Whole Families Intervention Services Holistic offers recovery coaching for both the whole family and the person of concern. We are here to guide and support each one in navigating this transition. Our primary purpose is to initiate and bolster long-term recovery, health, and wholeness for everyone.

Post Treatment Support - Helping the Family to Love Differently

When a family member or a friend is in the midst of addiction, the community can suffer as much or more than the person of concern. In order to protect and support his/her habit, the person of concern resorts to manipulating others in order to get his/her needs met.

Family members and friends may express their love for the addicted person by enabling the addiction, which sabotages the health and wellbeing for everyone. Enabling has many guises: denial that a problem exists, prioritizing the addict's needs over everyone else's, accusing others of the addiction, funding the addict's housing, car payments, daily needs.

POST TREATMENT SUPPORT - Learning How to Be Responsible for Ourselves

In the intervention process, Whole Families Intervention and Holistic Recovery Services offer to coach for family members during treatment to help them shift old behaviors and reactions toward healthier responses. Each person will learn how to be responsible for their own physical, mental and emotional wellbeing - and allow others to practice the same.

POST TREATMENT SUPPORT - Learning How to Practice Self-Care

Self-care is key in breaking negative patterns and focusing on one's own health and wellness. Our recovery coaches provide guidance and encouragement in healthy nutrition, specific exercises to relieve stress, and meditation practice in order to live on life's terms with contentment and ease.

While interventions may feel exhausting and emotionally draining, the process can be liberating and reaffirming for everyone. The key is to have a professional interventionist team and highly trained recovery coaches by your side.

At Whole Families, we meet family members wherever they are in their lives and help them take the next step toward their own health and wholeness.

Whole Families Recovery Coaches Provide Holistic Support for the Newly-Recovering Person

Stepping back into daily living can feel overwhelming for a newly- recovering person. Whole Families offers recovery coaching to help ease re-entry, provide care and support for as long as it takes to help the recovering person adopt positive lifestyle choices to prevent relapse.

We provide recovery coaches who specialize in drug addiction, alcoholism, and disordered eating. Each of our coaches is experienced in the field of the recovery and know what it's like to try and live without one's drug of choice. We know how some days will be harder than others. How life's curve balls can tip us off balance. How we may have relationships that need repairing, rebuilding, or letting go.

Whole Families recovery coaches provide a holistic approach to life without drugs, alcohol and disordered eating. We teach those new in sobriety how to manage life one day time with acceptance, contentment and a sense of ease.

Early sobriety can be challenging. People, places and things can be a trigger. Our coaches walk with the newly sober person to strategize how best to handle conflicts and potential temptations in a positive, healthy manner. We teach mindfulness practices to empower the newly sober person in a way of life that promises freedom and peace.
