HOW WE BEGAN
Kelly Chambliss and Frances Murchison met over a decade ago in an AA meeting. A mutual friend asked for help. In responding to that need they realized their calling and envisioned Whole Families Intervention & Services.
With that phone call for help, Kelly turned to Frances and said, “It’s about the family. They need our guidance and support.” Frances replied, “Yes they do. We can provide a way to bring them back to wholeness.”
From that day and that call, Kelly and Frances began to build Whole Families. With deep listening and learning, they know now that their original vision was spot on.Click here to Read More
No matter the circumstances, every family wants healing and wholeness. They want to experience freedom from the utter despair that addiction promises each person in its wake. They want peace in their lives.
And they need support taking the first step. We are here to provide that direction and support.
Kelly and Frances have long long-term sobriety, 26 and 30 years. In addition to AA, they practice mindfulness and yoga to maintain spiritual, emotional and physical health.
Their intervention modality is unlike many others. ARISE trained and certified, they attribute their success to learning the family’s history and behavioral patterns prior to the meeting. They will spend as many hours as necessary to understand the family system and prepare the family for the intervention meeting.
Kelly and Frances are team. They approach the intervention together. They create balance and intention for the meeting. They offer compassion, dignity and respect for each person present.
They provide a personalized plan of recovery for each family.
Using the Family Systems paradigm, they design a personalized recovery plan for each person in the family.
This Recovery Coaching shifts the family’s focus away from the Person of Concern to themselves. It is this shift that provides direction, healing and wholeness to the whole family.
The concept of Wholes Families is about understanding the family dynamic in relation to the addiction.
If the family doesn’t change, addiction will always be present.
Whole Families provides short term and long-term strategies for each person so that the whole family can be successful.
They travel nationwide. Guiding and supporting one family at a time.
